PAA -Primary Aromatic Amines, specific migration by HPLC-MS/MS, multimethod

Primary aromatic amines, specific migration using a multi-method

test method:specific migration (SML)/ NIAS- Screening/ Single substance analyses/ GC- MS- analysis
Norms: Hausverfahren (externer Anbieter)
Needed sample size:Small reel (if not available: film stack or original sample in gas-tight packaging)

multi method PAA (MDA and TDA) from polyurethane adhesives
limit of quantification 0,002 mg/ kg simulant: 2,4-Toluylene diamine (CAS 823-40-5), 2,6-Toluylene diamine (CAS 95-80-7) and 4,4'-Methylenbisbenzenamin (CAS 101-77-9) limit of detection 0,005 mg/ kg simulant: 2,2'-Methylenbisbenzenamine (CAS 6582-52-1), 2,4'-Methylenbisbenzenamine (CAS 1208-52-2) simulants: acetic acid 3% (v/v) or ethanol/water

multi method PAA of printing inks, clorants
This multi-method currently contains about 30 primary aromatic amines (‘PAAs’) known as impurities or degradation products of pigments. For example, it contains all PAA that, according to the amendment of Annex II of Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 (15th amendment by Regulation (EU) 2020/1245), shall not be detectable with a limit of detection of 0,002 mg/kg food or food simulant applied to each individual primary aromatic amine (‘PAA’), latest from 24.02.2023. These are the primary aromatic amines listed in Annex XVII Appendix 8 to Entry 43 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
