Adhesive strength

Tesa strength/adhesion strength of printing inks is their resistance to the forces that occur when an adhesive tape strip is torn off a printing surface.

The print/image is covered with a defined adhesive tape and, after a defined exposure time, removed with a jerk. Afterwards, it is visually assessed whether and how much ink could be lifted off. This method is often used as a quick test directly on the press.ASTM F 2252/ F 2252M:2013
